About Slate Rock Safety

Under general direction from the CTO and Architect, the front-end developer will design, program, and develop web-based ecommerce and mobile applications for our cloud architecture. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Develop high quality technology solutions using standardized development methodologies.
  • Implement solutions using leading-edge Microsoft development tools.
  • Participate in our ground-up platform rewrite using ASP.NET MVC 5, ADO.NET Entity Framework, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript / jQuery.
  • Also participate in the consumption of coffee, donuts, and other sweet treats from time to time.
  • Ensure projects and tasks are delivered timely, with quality, while meeting business goals and objectives.
  • Keep abreast of developments in IT, particularly code writing tools and methodologies.
  • Participate in quality assurance procedures.
  • Work well in a fast-pace, team environment.
  • Look at cat pictures.


  • Education: 2+ years of experience as a front-end beast. Degree desirable.
  • Required skills: JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax, JavaScript, experience with mobile implementations, working knowledge of HTTP, JavaScript (yes, it's THAT important).
  • Big plus for any of these: experience with a variety of JavaScript frameworks and/or libraries (KnockoutJS, AngularJS, Ember.js), Microsoft Azure, ASP.NET MVC, C#, Sass/LESS, Kendo UI, SQL, SQL Server administration, fulfillment/warehouse software experience, working knowledge of OOP.
